Historic Tortilla Flats Tour

Join the Montrose Regional Library and the Mexican American Development Association for a tour of the historic Tortilla Flats neighborhood! This tour has been generously sponsored by the International Library and Cultural Exchange Groups’ CAL ILCE-IG 2025 grant.

The tour will start in the Montrose Regional Library’s meeting room, before moving into the neighborhood of Tortilla Flats. Tortilla Flats has been a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood in Montrose for roughly 100 years, and has made strides toward achieving historic designation. Volunteer tour guides will teach us about the history of Tortilla Flats, and their experiences as immigrants and/or Hispanic Americans.
