JOB OPENING: PART-TIME CUSTODIAN

The Montrose Regional Library is seeking energetic and detail-oriented applicants for a Part-Time Custodian position.

General Description: Performs a variety of custodial duties within the main branch library building and auxiliary office building, when the library is closed, to provide a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patrons and staff.

Required Skills: Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to follow simple oral and written instructions; ability to work independently; willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks; thoroughness; dependability.

Work Schedule:  Up to 19 hours per week, 3-4 days per week.

Compensation:  $16.00 per hour.

Physical Demands:  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and climb stairs; strength to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Bookkeeper

The Montrose Regional Library District is seeking a detail-oriented full charge Bookkeeper to handle the day-to-day financial tasks of the organization. This is a part-time position with up to 29 hours per week.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for payroll and bank reconciliations, recording daily transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as keeping financial records organized for the library district. An optimal candidate must have Microsoft Office and Quickbooks knowledge along with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to spotting and resolving discrepancies. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field is required with at least three years’ experience or training in bookkeeping. The starting rate for a Bookkeeper is $18.25 per hour. We also offer benefits including retirement and vacation, personal, and sick leave, in addition to holidays.
